Registration Info
Online Registration
Online registration for EYY will be open from 12/10/11 until 12/30/11 or until the cap is reached. The shirt order must be placed on the morning of 12/23/11. Registration will remain open after that but if you sign up after that point, you are not guaranteed a shirt. Early registration is strongly encouraged!
On-Site Registration
There will be a last-minute sign-up period on the day of the tournament in the event that any registered players drop out. On-site registrants are not guaranteed a shirt, and are not guaranteed a spot on a team. Day-of registrants are asked to come to the welcome desk by 9:30am and bring $20 cash or a check payable to the Green Mountain Disc Alliance.
Check-In
All participants must check in; please do so as soon as you arrive at the Fieldhouse to get your shirt. We’ll need to form teams before the first game, so check in no later than 9:30am.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
If you’ve signed up but aren't able to make it after all, please let us know ASAP via email at gmdaboard@gmail.com until 12/30/11. Confirmed, pre-registered players who don’t check in by 9:30am could see themselves not counted in or their spot offered to someone else.
Cap
EYY can accommodate up to five teams or 85 players (60 men, 25 women). Registrations will not be accepted once the cap is reached. Be sure to join our Yahoo! Group to receive tournament updates.
How Spots are Assigned
First signed up and paid, first served. It is not our policy to hold spots. Use the registration system. The registration system is a simple two-step system: 1) Registration form submission 2) Payment submission. Please note that it is not possible to register now and pay later. Both steps must be completed in the same visit or the registration is invalid.
Payment
Cost
The cost to play in EYY is $20/person, and it includes field food as well as a T-Shirt (if you sign up before 12/23/11.)
Payment Methods
The only way to pay through the online registration system is through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account. If you do have a PayPal account, signing into it is optional. You can also pay with a credit card without signing into a PayPal account. If you do not have a credit card, or do not wish to use your credit card, please seek the help of a friend or relative.
Refunds
For registrants who can't or won't show up and play after all:
The GMDA Board processes refund requests on a case by case basis and offers no guarantees.
Please notify the GMDA Board via email at gmdaboard@gmail.com ASAP
and no later than 2 PM on Friday 12/31/10. No timely notification = no refund.
What to Bring: Checklist
- There will be a water cooler on site. Bring your own non-glass bottle(s).
- Footwear is required! Cleats or turf shoes are appropriate for the Fieldhouse. Sneakers acceptable but not recommended.
- Field food will be provided.
- Bring towel and toiletries if you wish to shower on-site. We have locker room access.
- Basic first-aid kit items and ice will be provided.
Shirt Art
Break out your art skills! Every year we seek a new shirt design for the tournament, and we ask anyone who is interested in designing something to send us their artwork. If you have a cool image in your head of what eating your young looks like, then send it in to the GMDA Board by 12/16/11. Winner gets free admission.
Videographers & Photographers Wanted!
The GMDA Board is looking for one or two non-players who can record game footage from this event. We will provide the camera and a brief overview of all the important buttons on the camera. Qualifications include the serenity to accept the plays you cannot record, the courage to record the plays you can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Extra bonus: Free tournament t-shirt for any non-player videographer! If you're interested, please contact the GMDA Board.
Volunteers Wanted!
In addition to videographers and photograhers, we're seeking a few volunteers to help with the following:
- Greeting/front door coordinator: We need a couple people to greet players as they enter the Fieldhouse to get everyone to the proper location for getting team assignments, picking up a shirt, etc. Qualifications include a cheerful disposition accompanied by an iron will, and the ability to arrive a little early. Players and non-players alike are welcome.
- Breakdown specialists: We need a few people to help pack things up at the end of the day, including making sure we leave the fields how we found them. Qualifications include an unmatched passion to either set things up or break things down, and the ability to stay a few minutes late. Players and non-players alike are welcome.
If you are interested in helping, please contact the GMDA Board.
List of Participants
Below is the list of all confirmed participants. You're a confirmed participant if we've received both your registration form and your payment. If your name’s not on there and you think it should be, please contact the GMDA Board. If your name appears in black, a white shirt will be provided to you; if your name appears in red, it means that you signed up after the shirts order had to be placed, so you aren't guaranteed a white shirt, and you should plan on bringing your own white shirt to the tournament. Note: Everyone needs to bring their own black shirt.
