About the LeagueWelcome to the Burlington Ultimate Frisbee Winter League 2007/2008. This league is a recreational league, for men and women where players of all abilities play together. Games will be on Tuesday nights at the Shelburne Athletic Club. This will be a draft league consisting of 8 mixed teams. The fields are 70x34 yards and games will be played 6 on 6. We have the fields from 8:00PM-11:00PM with games starting at 8:00 and 9:30. Expect half of your games to be in the early slot and half in the later slot. There will be 2 eight week sessions with certain weeks off for the holidays with November 27th as the first day of league. Dues will be $133 per player for both sessions or $75 per player for one session. Students pay $93 for both sessions or $54 for one session(documentation proving you are a student will be required by the second league night). Winterleague Registration is closedGood news and bad news. League is more popular this year then in years past. Interest in Ultimate is growing! But unfortunatly we have limited space at the field house in Shelburne and have to cap the number of players allowed to sign up. We have reached that cap for both session one and session two. Registration is now closed. Online RegistrationRegistration ENDS on Nov. 14th by 5PM or when we reach our cap of 128 players. You MUST register before this time or you will not be playing winter league. To sign up for winter league please follow the online registration link. We are asking that all players please fill out this form, and make payment through the website's secure server using PayPal. If for some reason you are unable to, or unwilling to use PayPal, please fill out the form, and click the alternative submission button. Discounts available
There will be two types of discounts available for those willing to help out: A note on being a captain
There are a few things I want to clear up concerning being a captain for winter league. First off, by no means do you need to be a skilled veteran superstar to captain a team. Players want 3 things above all else when it comes to a captain. Pickup nights and league scheduleBelow is the GMDA calendar of events. On it can be found dates/times for pickup, league and other GMDA related events. Please note that pickup is NOT covered by your winter league registration fee. |
