Winter League 2011-12


Summary

The GMDA Ultimate Winter League is an indoor coed league consisting of two separate sessions. Winter league is open to players of all levels, including brand new players. If you have any questions that aren't addressed on this site, please contact the GMDA Board.


  • Dates/Times: Tuesday nights 8-9:30 or 9:30-11. Session I runs from 11/15/2011 - 2/7/2012. Session II runs from 2/21/2012 - 4/17/2012.
  • Registration Dates: Session I: 10/22/2011 - 11/4/2011. Session II: 1/28/2012 - 2/10/2012 Registration form located here.
  • Location: Shelburne Field House - 166 Athletic Drive Shelburne, VT
  • Payment: $75 per person per session via PayPal. A $25 refund is given to captains.
  • Refunds: Contact GMDA gmdaboard@gmail.com. Considered on a case by case basis.
  • Team Formation: Teams are created via a draft. Players will be contacted via email following the draft.

Signup Periods


Session 1

Session I registration opens on October 22, 2011. The registration deadline is November 4th, 2011. To be in the draft, you must register by the deadline before your gender's cap is reached. However, the registration form will remain active afterwards to allow players to go onto the wait list.


Session 2

Session II registration opens on January 28, 2012. The registration deadline is February 10, 2012. To be included in the draft, you must register by the deadline before your gender's cap is reached. However, the registration form will remain active afterwards to allow players to go onto the wait list.


Session I Schedule

Session I will consist of 8 league games played on the following Tuesday evenings:


  • November: 15th, 29th
  • December: 6th, 13th
  • January: 17th, 24th, 31st
  • February: 7th

There will be two game slots each night: 8 PM to 9:30 PM, and 9:30 PM to 11 PM.


Session II Schedule

Session II will consist of 8 league games played on the following Tuesday evenings:


  • February: 21st, 28th
  • March: 13th, 20th, 27th
  • April: 3rd, 10th, 17th

There will be two game slots each night: 8pm-9:30pm, and 9:30pm-11pm.


Payment

Cost is $75 for everyone except captains ($25 off for solo, $12.50 off for co-captains.) Potential captains should register and pay in full, and the GMDA will issue the discount afterward.


Spots are granted on a first paid, first served basis. To be considered signed up, you must submit a registration form and pay the $75. Otherwise, your registration is invalid. Feel free to email the GMDA Board to confirm that your payment has gone through. If it hasn't, you'll have to resubmit your registration form and payment attempt.


Dues can be paid through PayPal, debit or credit card, or Bill Me Later. If you pay with a PayPal eCheck, your registration won't be valid until the eCheck clears (usually 3-5 days.) You only join the list of registrants on receipt of payment. If your eCheck clears after your gender's cap has been reached, you will automatically be placed on the wait list.


Refunds

Requests for refunds can be emailed to the GMDA Board. However, please note that players who withdraw from League at any point in time for whatever the reason(s) are not guaranteed a refund. The GMDA Board processes refund requests on a case by case basis.
